So I'm obviously behind again on pics, but I did stay up late last night finally downloading everything from my camera to my computer and onto flickr. As such, I"m going to be incredibly lazy and say if you want to see my Dec. and Jan thus far go to my flickr page and check out the pics there :)

We had our white elephant gift exchange at work today and this is what I ended up with (stole it, oh yeah!). It's Cyrus Noble Mine who was apparently sold for a bottle of whiskey. Apropos - this is actually a bottle of whiskey. Creepy? yes. Awesome? Definitely.

Someone brought See's candy into the office today! I love these horrid little suckers. Makes me feel like a kiddo! 

So much for my "no sweets" plan (I've been eating a piece of candy or 3 every day for almost 2 weeks now. Time to break the new habit. It's just EVERYwhere right now!). Nostalgia broke me.

Oh well. Tomorrow for realsies.

I just got a beautiful new calculator at work. It is pretty and prints and adds up the money and the count of transactions and it is making my life a million times easier!!!! No more counting by hand and using the calculator on my desktop! No more!

 

Next week I'm getting my own printer. Oh Sandy Claws, how did you know?!?!

It's My Cat in a Box!

I opened this box last night around 8 or 9. Hobbes promptly got in the box. This morning when I woke up he was still in said box.

He did not leave the box this morning. He did not get out when I made my breakfast, or opened the door to look at the rain. He didn't get out when I got dressed, or packed my lunch. He didn't even get out when I went to leave for work. Maybe since it was raining he figured, meh what's the point?!

However, I think he has taken it to the extreme because, while I can't be sure, I think he may have stayed in the box all day because when I got home tonight at 9pm he was, as you can see, still in the box.

As I write this he is...STILL IN THE BOX.

I very rarely buy lattes any more. Too expensive and too not-good-for-you. However. It is raining like crazy today. The wind is vicious. I'm exhuasted from working until 8pm then doing homework until midnight and the fact that lately I wake up for at least an hour every morning around 2am (wtf!).

 

And it's Friday. And it's payday.

 

So I decided to splurge and treat myself to a double-tall gingerbread latte at Sbux today. It was everything I'd hoped for.

And their holiday cups are just too adorable.

I took an online webinar training today that lasted from 8am - 2pm. However, I often find the 'practice times' in these trainings to be far too long and unnecessary. So...I clean. Today I decided I needed to take everything out of the fridge and thoroughly clean all the shelves etc. Fortunately I decided to start this right before the 1 hour lunch break they gave us. And I don't think my fridge has ever been this clean. It is beautiful and I felt QUITE satisfied putting everything back in, organized, and fresh. Huzzah!

Christmas Time Fo' Realz

Officially Christmas means officially Christmas party time. Which means I must try my hand at homemade eggnog once again. It needs to age for at least a week and has that entire bottle of Jim Beam in it. Plus a little rum and brandy thrown in for good measure. We'll see how it turns out!

Well Thanksgiving is over (successfully) and therefore it is officially Christmas time!!!! We (Jess, Kristi, and Josh) rang in Christmas as you should by getting a Christmas treee!!!!!!!!!!!! They're hella expensive though, ugh. Thanks to Jess for helping me get one! It's so pretty and joyful!!
