Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I went with Jonathan and a bunch of his friends to San Francisco to search for all the different places that Vertigo was shot. And of course we went at night and successfully crawled through a creepy dark tunnel and scared ourselves while watching people out on a dock who looked like they were dumping a body and feeding the sea lions with it. Eeeewww! Anyway, here is the Exploratorium - one location we stopped at, where raccoons attempted to massacre us, but failed. Everything is so different, and yet so pretty at night!

Went to get gelato at lunch and discovered that the gelato place has Italian hot chocolate for the fall/winter season!!! If you've never had Italian hot chocolate before you are missing out. It is the richest hot chocolate you'll ever taste. It. Is. Amazing. It's like melting chocolate and drinking it. Mmmmmmm. Of course, in Italy they wouldn't put whipped cream on it. But I think there are some things that we do right in the US and whipped cream is definitely one of them!

My boss brought tomatoes in from her garden. She put them in that bag. Now this is my view from my desk. A few people have commented on the fact that I get the view of the model. He is attractive, I'm not complaining, but I think he could use a better pose. Something a bit more blue steel, perhaps...

Chocolate Party

Today we had a chocolate party at work to celebrate a co-worker finishing her chemo treatment. Delphine decided to wear her Jackie Moon wig. Here she is cutting the chocolate pie. This is but a portion of what was there. I made buckeyes. They are all gone. Yee-aaah. 

Tour de East Bay

Kap, Katherine, Eric and I took a bike tour from Berkeley to Fruitvale. The idea was to go on a taco truck tour, but in Jack London we ran across this bar which Kap told us was the oldest bar in Oakland to be consistently open. So of course we needed to stop and get drinks. Mmmm margarita. We followed from here a bit happier to Fruitvale where we hit up 3 different taco trucks, and then got ice cream at a little place called "cinco de mayo ice cream." All in all I'd say a pretty successful afternoon!

I Love Fall!

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love seeing pumpkins for sale at the grocery store, and I love pumpkin patches and Halloween and leaves falling and crisp weather and apple cider and EVERYTHING!!!

I went to a clothing swap for the first time last night. Here is my loot. 15 new shirts, 4 new pairs of shoes, a new skirt, a hat, 2 pairs of hiking pants, and a jacket. And I didn't have to spend a penny.

Katherine pointed out this creepy car today. She says she has seen it several times and always on the same stretch of road. I suggested that perhaps it was following her. In case you can't tell, that's a camera rigged to the top of it, pointing in various angles. The cameras say "nasty" on them. Yeeaaaah.

Nina and I went to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass to check out some awesome music. This is during the first concert we went to. Check out the kid in orange. He's getting in trouble for throwing his ball at strangers. lol. And check out the lady in yellow - she was REALLY into the music and was the best dancer ever. bahahahaha. FUN!
